Kageneckia oblonga Leaves Subjected to Different Drying Methods: Drying Kinetics, Energy Consumption and Interesting Compounds

In this study, Kageneckia oblonga leaves were dried under different drying conditions and techniques [oven (NC), vacuum (VNC), convective (FC), microwave-assisted (MWFC)]. Thus, the effect of temperature, vacuum, microwave on features K. was determined. Fick's second law used to calculate effective moisture diffusivity that varied from 3.94 8.14 × 10 −11 m 2 /s, 1.12 1.40 7.83 11.36 6.93 16.72 /s for NC, VNC, FC, MWFC methods, respectively. addition, Weibull Midilli–Kucuk models accurately predicted all experimental curves leaves. Regarding energy consumption efficiency values methods found be in range 0.20–7.50 kW·h 0.10–3.70%, The results showed method does not significantly affect phenolic compounds could large-scale production
